Exclamation removed coolant temp sensor by mistake

So I was changing header gaskets on my 93 Z28, but accidentally broke the little sensor there. I removed it and this is before I knew what it was and coolant came out. I quickly moved a pan into place and truth be told, not much seemed to come out. I got a new sensor and installed it.

How do I go about adding coolant now? Should I just poor some into the radiator and then bleed the system or do I need to flush the whole thing?

Sorry if its vague I tried to explain the best I can, please help me I'm still a bit of a nood with all this so I'm learning.

Thanks

Yea, not much comes out. Take the radiator cap off when its COLD, start it up, wait till you see the level drop down and coolant start to flow in the radiator fill neck, maybe 10 minutes at idle and the t-stat should open. Top it off and put the cap on. Done.

thanks, I checked the resovoir when cold and it was low, so I added a 50/50 mixture and that fixed it. However when I started it I don't I tightened the y-pipe enough.

STILL.......you need to run the engine, then check it again when its cold and top it off if needed to make sure there's no air in there. The coolant that leaked out of the head wouldn't drop the level in the radiator and there IS an air bubble in there now.

Alright, I'll run it tomorrow and bleed the system after I fix the y pipe.
