02 Sensor Locations

So my car (2000 TA) threw a code P0161 this morning on the way to work. The code returns as:

P0161 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 2

I have searched and searched and cannot find anything that shows which sensor is which. My question is which side is bank 2 and which sensor is sensor 2? Would that be the sensor on the passenger side after the cat?

Also, if anyone has a link or diagram or something showing all 4 and what they're called, please share for future reference.

Thanks!

That is the passenger side sensor, post cat.

B1S1 = Driver's front sensor
B1S2 = Driver's rear sensor
B2S1 = Passenger's front sensor
B2S2 = Passenger's rear sensor

Thank you sir! I appreciate the response.

Sorry, I know its very unrelated... But what do you use to get the code off the car? I've been trying to find any information on it and saw you were able to see which code it gave.

Did you buy one of the portable computers? or a link? :confused:

Thanks! :)

I went to Harbor Freight and bought this:

It was ~$60. They have others that are a bit more and do more stuff, but this is enough to get the code you need. Just plug it in to the ALDL port under the dash, turn the ignition on and read the code. You can clear them too.

THANKS! :D I've been looking for a decently priced one that just reads the codes!

I'm assuming this would work on a 99 WS6 as well?
Thanks! again :)

Yes, it should read the codes on your 99 just fine.
