Default Traction control comes On when I get to 50 mph

I have a 2001 trans am ws6 I just bought the car and it has a bad sake when u drive it . I took it to get balanced and they told me that my passenger front rim did not work anymore. But as soon I did this and they tried to balance the car I cannot go more than 50 mph because the gas pedal turns hard and the traction control light come on and doesn't let me go any faster you guys have any experience with this? Thanks in advance

Check your wheel sensor. Is anything else lighting up other than your tc light ?

Most likely a speed sensor because the traction control should not activate at that speed. You can have the ABS/TCS scanned for codes, which may tell you which sensor is bad. (You'll need to find someone with a special tool to do this. Cheap scanners will not be able to pull these codes.)
