Default oil pressure bouncy as hell etc... (video)

car is 2002 camaro z28... the oil pressure gauge has been acting up from
time to time.. and at wot, it would just go all the way to 80 psi and full retard bounce..
(see videos) im thinking the oil pressure sensor?

has anyone else have/had this same problem on their car?
should i do any quick checks before i jump on changing the sensor?
if so, what are they? thanks alot.

opsu? as in oil pressure sending unit? lol

idk i didnt check it out yet.. i will be pretty soon if noone else chimes in on what to check first before getting to changing the sensor out...

I get the same jerk but only when the oil pressure drops to near 20, everyone says its the OPSU, it doesnt bother me because mine only happens when the temps outside are extremely hot. do let us know what happens when you change it.

Try a search. There are lots of other threads on this and all point to the pressure sender.

Just be sure to replace the sending unit with a GM OEM unit. Using cheap parts store replacements always caused a bouncy gauge.
