Default My car is fluttering till 3k Then it hits, HELP!!

I just received my pcm from Frost, was very happy with it.

I sent the PCM out originally because my car was fluttering all the way up to 3grand then once it hit 3, it would take off like a bat outta hell, well I thought somehow someway it mighta been from me deleting the EGR, and AIR. Nope Car ran great for 15 miles once I put the PCM in. Then bam, right back to where we started.

Any ideas? Thanks guys

Well the problem with a mail order tune is the people who tune it jjust do a broad generalization fo your car. And its at no fault of theirs its all they can do without having the car itself on a dyno. Im thinking either have a dyno tune from a local shop or its kind of sound electrical. New coild packs maybe?

If you had this problem both before and after the tune, and the first tune was the stock tune, then your issue here is not tuning. I would not advise you to pay for any additional tuning to fix a problem that existed even with the stock tune on a stock engine.

Something else is wrong. Do you have a scanner?

I would probably run some vacuum tests since you removed the AIR system. Could be one of the lines to the intake didn't get capped off.

It's not a tuning issue, I need to scan it, I was just seeing if you guys had any ideas, I will keep you updated, and check the caps.

Failing Crank Shaft Position sensor will do that. So will failing 02 sensors, to some extent.

My friends Corvette did exactly what you're describing and it turned out that his fuel pump was failing, just throwing that out there.
