I'd say hard launches and in need of an upgrade. Put a 12bolt and never look back!

Can you still drive the car? When i toasted my rear end it make an awful loud clunking noise and would feel like it was skipping when trying to accelerate. It was not driveable. Rear end is probably toast. I suggest an S60 as that is what I went with... the 12 bolt is no good for us m6 guys! Though idk if you want to dump $2500 into your LT1...

its the sound of you having to open your wallet and invest in a good rear. behind an m6 the 10 bolt is pretty much useless if you plan on racing or even driving hard.

How many miles do you have on the car? Have you put it up on jack stands and tried to find the source of the noise? Is it possible that you are having a problems with one of the rear brakes or perhaps the drive shaft? U-bolts perhaps?

I've got over 200k miles on my daily driver Z28, and recently had to change out the pinion bearing. If you have caught the problem just as it's happening, it's possible that you can repair it without a huge expense.

Good luck.
