Default Very hot interior by feet

I have no idea why my interior is so hot by the pedals and feet but it is, I was thinking I would just throw some insulation down under the carpet, any thoughts?

I've had several do this, never bothered to do anything about it.
Have you done any work to it recently like exhaust work, ect? If not that's strange. After my header install the floor board just heated up more. If it's not near the gas lines f it. Also maybe you have an exhaust leak.

Check to see if the previous owner removed the insulation back padding on the carpet, it will make it hotter and louder. The pedals are near the fire wall so could be some residual heat xfer.

Everyone's tolerance is different and what you notice some may not even see the difference.

Honestly, I've had this same problem, it's not 100% of the time, it's only done it 2-4 times, and only during spiritied driving.. I'm not going to worry about it too much though.
