Default Spectra cu1486 radiator coolant level sensor

I'm putting in a new radiator in my 2001 trans am. It has a provision for a coolant level sensor and my car doesn't have one. It has some sort of cap on it do I just leave that or is it like a dust cover I have to remove and put in a sensor or plug? Any ideas? thanks.

I know someone's come across putting an LT1 radiator in an LS1. I just don't wanna blow $60 on a coolant temp sensor I don't need.

I would go ahead and leave it plugged, although, that looks like an LT1 radiator considering I just replaced my 94's radiator.

I couldn't be assed to unfowl my old coolant level sensor so I left it plugged and haven't had a leak from there...

(Except from my waterpump )

It's an LT1 radiator. All the parts places seem to list it for the LS1 too. I guess they don't make one specific to the LS1. I had to block off the extra coolant pipe on the lower driver side. Other than that the radiator has been great, it's an upgrade over the stock LS1 radiator.
