Default Surging Idle

I have a 2001 LS1 from a Z28. Had the computer flashed two years ago for evap, egr, O2's, etc. Blew my tranny for a third time when i put the car back together getting a idle surge and will also die after five mins. scanned it got the codes of P0412 and P0418 AIR stuff right right now i have no egr stuff on any ideas why this is happening or the location of the plug maybe i missed it this time. Please help.

Start off by cleaning your MAF. If that doesn't help you might have a vacumn leak.

The 2001 has / needs no EGR.

I'd be suspecting that O2 codes have been killed but the
sensors are getting crusty, leading to false trimming to
the rich side and that makes the motor too soggy for
the IAC / idle RPM loop to control it right.

The rear O2's are programed fake #'s And the plugs are taped off. Looked at the front ones recently since there only 5000 miles old, pretty good looking.
