Default 98 camaro won't start, odometer doesn't show anything, and gauges aren't working

I just recently changed transmissions in a 98 Z28 I bought a few months ago. I installed a set of headers, changed plugs, deleted the AIR. When I was changing intakes I forgot I had the fuel lines unhooked and turned the key on to roll up the windows and it ran fuel everywhere. I got everything back together last night and tried to start the car and the fuel pump never would kick on. The car turned over fine, but the odometer and gauges all stayed on zero except for the fuel level. I pulled the fuse for the gauges and it was good. Also pulled the fuel pump fuse and relay and they were good. I jumped it across the with the relay removed and the fuel pump primed up but the car still would not even try to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

look for the fuel pump ground on the back of the driver side head...well feel for it. if that ground breaks (like mine has) while changing the intake you will not get the fuel pump to come on.

Its interesting that the gauges all stayed at zero. I would start with what Taspeed said a bad ground can cause all sorts of issues. I believe your odometer turns on when the key is turned to "on". If you were able to prime the pump from where the relay is. I would say either the relay is bad but more likely because of everything else having issues its something to do with your ignition switch or the lines that come from it. Do you have access to the electrical diagrams? I would start checking different points in your electrical system to see if everything is there that should be. That includes testing different grounds to the chassis to make sure they are good.

Ground to the back of the head is good, still looking for any grounds under the dash. The car turns over fine. Radio plays, all fuses are good, but car still won't start. Thing is starting to **** me off.

How many miles are on the car? It could be a problem with the pump itself or fuel pressure regulator bad. If the computer gets the wrong signal or a bad signal its not going to start. fuel pressure has to be above 55lbs i believe...someone correct me if i'm wrong on that its been a while.

103,000. The fuel pump will come on and prime up when jumped across, but it acts like the car isn't getting any fire either. It has new plugs and ran great before the trans swap. I'm doing a racetronixs fuel pump with Hotwire.

This happened to me once and it was a stupid "gauge cluster" 10A or 15A fuse inside the driver side fuse box right when you open the door. Literally that simple, i almost slapped someone lol Car started right up.

I'm thinking that it is not making connection in the fuse panel. I'm gonna go but another test light cause I can't find mine to see if that's the issue. I've changed the fuses just to make sure and that didn't help.

Have you validated you have fuel pressure at your rails when he ping the relay?

Also have you checked to see if you have spark while cranking it over?

Car will not start when the relay is bypassed and yes it has pressure at the rails. I don't believe it is getting any spark as the car will crank over just fine but acts like it isn't getting any fire either as it won't even try to start.

I plan on messing with it tonight to see if its getting power to gauge fuse.

PCM ground?? or would the pump not come on if the PCM was dead?

Here's some schematics and a thread if it helps.

Definitely could be the PcM. Had it happened to me once. Lost power to the PCM.

^ Wait, the pump is powered off the BCM, isn't it?? Yeah, starting to sound like a PCM power or ground issue. Check those schematics, OP.

Ended up being the small red wire to the alternator. I remembered my 98 trans am not starting once when that was unplugged, and when pulling the motor in my 2000 ws6 this weekend I thought of it. Wiggled it and car started right up. Heard it is a 98 issue.
