Default Plastic piece that goes around the engine bay?

I'm trying to figure out if there is a part number or something for the plastic piece that goes around the engine bay.

Its definitely on the lower part and the Front Sway Bar goes through it...
Mine has cracked/torn and would like to replace it along with a new sway bar.

Any info is appreciated

Which side? Are you talking about the alternator dust shield? Can you post a pic?

It's not plastic, but more like a rubberized mud flap type of material.

Given the way that GM is discontinuing parts for our cars, I seriously doubt that either local, or the 'usual suspect' online dealers will be able to get these.

A local boneyard, or Hawks T.G. might be your only hope, sadly enough.

Yeah! Thats what it is!, do you happen to know the part number for it?
I could at least reference it that way

No, sorry, I have no clue as to the part number, but any local dealer can look it up for you, and even tell you/print out any dealers who still might have one on the shelf (which I doubt, but you never know).

I think you are talking about the "dust shields." I don't recall one piece that goes all the way "around the engine bay" and has the sway bar going through it. There should be two - one on each side. One covers the alternator and the other one covers the A/C compressor.

Is this the piece? If so, which side of the car are we talking about?

Yep, I was wrong, it only goes around the alternator.

Here is a pic of it tho from the top you can see its pretty torn up and even one of the side pieces is coming off. (thats the power steering pulley at the top of the image)

You can see it is really cracked on one of the bolt points...

Not sure if I can make out the picture exactly - but if it has a hole that snaps in to the steering rack, its the Generator Splash Shield - p/n# 10402846.

I wish I was not familiar with this part... bring back some bad wrenching memories...

I'd expect that this piece would be a collision part and still widely in-stock across the dealers.

I actually had placed an order and it turns out the part was sold out.... So I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to check to see if they have anymore in their system.

But I'm sure I can find one :p ,,thanks again!
