turn signal issues

Ever since I got my car back from the bodyshop my left turn signal hasn't been working.

Here is what happens.

Key turned ON, Headlights OFF:
RIGHT : Right arrow indicator blinks on dash, Front and Back Passenger side Lights flash .
LEFT : Left arrow indicator stays solid, Back Driver light stays solid, front Driver light unlit.

Key turned ON, Headlight ON:

LEFT : Left arrow indicator stays solid, Back Driver side light solid, front Driver side light solid.

HAZARDS ON, Headlights OFF
LEFT and RIGHT arrow indicators on Dash blink
ALL lights flash around car except Front left

I was thinking it was the flasher that went bad but the flasher seems to be working since the right side works. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might just be good timing that this happened right after you got it back from the shop, but it sounds like the front left bulb needs replacing. When a blinker bulb is on its way out, both blinkers and the dash light for that side of the car stay solid. Did they work around your steering column at all?

Power is not going through your flasher filament in the bulb. (There are two.). The first thing to check is the bulb.

There could be other causes but a burned out bulb is the most common culprit.

thanks guys. figured it out. it was indeed a burn out bulb. water in the marker housing shorted out and the bulb was pretty melted. popped a new bulb in and all is well. just need to get new markers up front.

you might want to drill some small holes in the housing to eliminate the build up of moisture or water in the housing..

... or replace the cracked lens letting in water with a new one.
