Default Coolant leak.

I have a small coolant leak and it only seems to happen while driving. Im guessing its leaking out of the drain plug/valve. I noticed the overflow tank had a little more than it should have but if its overfilled would it force coolant out of the drain plug? It appears while im driving it begins to leak and the wind blows it on everything and it drips off later while it sits but it does not leak while off. The only reason i assume its the drain plug is because it seems to be a little wet and also nothing else seems to be leaking.

Check for a crack on the plastic part of the radiator. Might be cracked somewhere you can not see

If it was cracked would it not leak while sitting though?

I checked and the only place it looks to be coming from is the spout on the valve.

With the car cold, what is the level of the fluid inside your radiator? (not in the overflow tank)

My first look would be leaky seals on the pump.

When it's running it's under pressure which probably causes it to leak. Make sure the drain valve is tightly closed. If you let it sit and idle you should be able to trace the leak a little better. You could have it repaired but for me it was cheaper to replace the radiator. As already stated make sure it isn't coming from the pump itself and leaking down.

That's not a good place for this....

It's time to do a pressure test of the system and see what happens. If you clean up all the fluid and do the pressure test, I'll bet you'll see where it's coming from.

What exactly is this for and what does it do? I tightened it hoping that would help the leaking because it seems to be coming from the bottom of it.

Yea I suppose it has to do with the throttle body lines. It has the throttle body bypass mod done if that matters. Its only the passenger side one that seems to be leaking though.

That's your coolant 'steam pipe'/crossover pipe junction.

There is a little o ringed metal gasket under those blocks which DO wear out and leak over time/miles.
I replaced mine when I did the valley cover gasket/KS grommets.
As far as I know ONLY GM/AC Delco make them and they are like $5.00 EACH, even from Rock Auto.

MAKE SURE you torque them to (Helms Manual) spec, and NOT any tighter, since that will cause even the brand new ones to leak!

Thems the guilty culprits!

I did not see the Dorman ones when I bought mine (or maybe I just got them from the dealer with an internet price, and forgot).

IF you want to change all four, you will have to pull the intake to get to the back two.

I am fairly certain that you can do the front two with the intake in place IF you are careful enough to not break the pipes when lifting them out of the holes they occupy.

Ive read some people saying that the ls6 coolant use an o-ring instead, does this matter?

I would just buy a brand new front crossover pipe, they are cheap. Looks like it could just be the o ring though. but as stated above I would just do a pressure test and then you will know exactly where it is coming from, it may just be pooling up there.
