Bad vibration when clutch in after transmission mount
A buddy and I swapped the worn out transmission mount and very leaky pinion seal yesterday. After going for a test drive, when the clutch is pushed all the way down, generally at 40+ mph the car sometimes makes a horrible vibration that shakes the whole car. It also makes a little whirring sound at idle sometimes.
With access to a full shop and lift, we brought the car back up and double checked the driveshaft bolts were tight and couldn't find anything fishy with the new poly transmission mount from WS6store.
My mechanic buddy thinks it may be the throw out bearing or a bad pilot.
Also, I just bought the car and there are lug nut locks that I don't have the key to. We tried carefully hammering all kinds of heads onto it but none fit. Any ideas how to get them off? I need brakes.
