Won't Start. Gauges Flickering.

99 Firebird.

The car won't start. No click from the starter, doesnt turn over at all. Fuel pump does not prime either. Radio and acc. work just fine. The battery is GOOD! I know for sure. New Diehard Platinum etc.

Ive tested the ignition switch, I've got power coming in and out. And also out of the yellow start wire.

There is a clicking from the headlight module (behind the radio on the passenger side) and in sequence the HAZARDS on the cluster both flash.

I've swapped relays, new relays, etc. Gauge fuse is good. One thing i did notice is that on the ignition relay circuit, there is power on the other end of the load side. The test light is very dim on that circuit. But bright everywhere else. Meaning I've got a short to voltage somewhere in the car.

The red circle shows where I have a dim test light with the relay disconnected.

Is your battery charged? When you turn the car on, what does your voltmeter gauge read?

I figured out the issue just before this post.

The battery itself tested fine with 12.45 volts. But the gauge barely read 9v which lead me to a poor connection. The ground wire that goes to the block was loose!

Tightened that up and all my electrical issues are gone! Thank you.
