Default car wont start

ok been messing with the car, tune up and stuff and now it wont start. wont turn over nothing. like there is a ground issue with the motor somehow. hooked battery back up and dome light comes on automatically and wont go off, no dash lights (abs, tcs, security, miles, etc) but radio works headlights, door dinger, fuel pump even kicks on. any ideas?

Did you wash the car? Specifically did you wash the engine bay?

Edit* Do you have another key to try?

Any clicking sound?

Those things you mentioned that turned on, do they turn off momentarily when you try to crank?

I had a similar problem last year. My starter was bad.

Get under the car and give your starter solenoid a couple taps with a hammer. Not too hard, but be firm with it. If it cranks after that, then it is the starter. Try it a couple times just to make sure, with harder taps each times. It shouldn't take much though. Good luck!
