Default No bolt hole for p/s Pump!!!!!! plus side story

So long story short I timed my engine wrong ( GEN4 5.3, 5 timing marks on the crank gear. I only saw one with my lighting. wasn't aware there were more) and bent my intake valves. friend of mine on here gives me some 853's with valves because I just want the car back on the road. ill savew the 243s to get worked later. As im assembling the engine I go to put my p/s pump on and there is not bolt hole for the PITA bolt. Just a black dot. on the other head there is. Im thinking WTF I thought LS1 heads were identical......later that day since I was having a crap day I got drunk and ordered a pizza.

I do not want to pull the heads and swap them. buying head bolts and head gaskets again is not in the budget. moving out of home in a few weeks.

I found this thread so I figure I would use his guidelines on how to drill and tap the head.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...nator-diy.html

Also in the process of torqueing my passenger side head down the socket slipped off the bolt on the 2nd 90 degree turn and my arm went right into the head

went to urgent care and they used skin glue on it.

So for drilling aluminum. Any special drill bits? I'm gonna first drill with a smaller bit then the correct size.

Been too busy lately to complete project

so after looking closer at my problem I notice there is a hole and it is just filled. possible with a broken bolt.

I started drilling into the and am gonna use an easy out to get it out. I guess I went to fast and started burning out my drill bits because they would stop drilling after a while. it was so aggravating.

You're burning up your drills for 2 reasons, one of which you already pegged...running them too fast. The other is it doesn't look like you're using any cutting oil. Cutting oil helps to cool the tip of the bit, and can extend the life of the bit between sharpenings by a whole bunch. If you use it, start with a new, sharp drill. Go in no more than about .050", then re-oil. Without it, your bit is done (dull) after probably 1/4". This is especially important when using a hand held drill.
