Default Door panel vapor barrier/deflector replacement?

Hi all. I took off my door panel to replace the window motor, and noticed that the plastic that is supposed to be stuck on to cover everything on the inner door is missing on my car. The previous owner must have not replaced it. I want to get a replacement piece for this but am having trouble finding it. It seems it is discontinued with GM and anywhere else I try to search.

Any clue where I can get this or something like it?

Would something like that work if I cut it to size?

Yep!

You can use plastic sheeting tape to secure it. The originals had some gooey black mastic pre-applied. It's not weatherstripping adhesive - its something else, but I forgot what it was.

Thanks for the reply... I was wondering what the black goo was, but I will just use some sheeting tape.

Also, do you know if the 6 MIL is good, or do I want thicker?

The original feels like its about 6 MIL. Regardless, 6MIL should be fine since you'll be installing it yourself. No need to worry about any stresses of installation in a factory, etc.

Rope caulking, hardware stores have it.
