Default Is the headlight motor the same in '97-V6 & '98-V8?

1998 WS6 Trans Am: I was able to fix the passenger side headlight motor with the 180* trick, but the driver one just falls about halfway and makes a MUCH WORSE HORRIBLE(!!!) grinding noise while going UP instead. Until I can afford a new headlight motor, (or aluminum gear. Or headlight motor with aluminum gear already in it), I was thinking maybe I could steal the driver side one from my dead 1997 V6 sitting in the driveway?

On the bright side, the replacement 98-02 headlight motors are cheaper than the 93-97. But still pricier than I remember. RockAuto lists them ~$10 less than O'Reillys. The savings of which would likely be lost in shipping charges.

I tried doing the 180*, didn't work, I read somewhere, the 98-02 motors rotate a hair more than 180*, so that solution wouldn't work, first thing I had to after I bought my car was replace the headlight motors, I had the front bumper off and was still a tight fit.
