Default Wiring Harness Repair

Thinking about sending my harness off to get the emissions stuff removed and to fix my TPS/ABS/MAF circuity that's shorting out.

I see Speartech does repair and custom changes to existing harnesses (though probably for swaps). Would it be better to just buy a whole new harness or send out my current one for repair? Cost looks somewhat comparable but cheaper to redo my harness (not sure if I get mostly new or just repair and new connectors?).

I may try to fix myself first, but looking at alternative options.

Anybody have any experience with modifying or replacing your harness if it was damaged?

I don't, but this is an excellent topic.

As my fleet is starting to age I have considered getting replacement harness Vs repair.

But I can't decide as I don't see enough info to make an informative decision.

For a swap or a custom set up, It would probally be a no brainier but for an OE type application I am thinking repair might be the better choice so it lays in just right.

I know. These companies should start offering new harnesses as these cars are getting older. My harness looks like it is rotting in places. The header heat isn't helping. I know PSI and Speartech wrap them in a heat resistant material. Kind of wish I had coated my headers. The underhood heat is killer.
