Default 1999 Z28 broke down and throttle does nothing.

So my 1999 Z28 just broke down. When I press the throttle nothing happens. The car doesn't respond and I can't go anywhere almost like there's no throttle response. What should I look for, I already scanned it and got P0108. Possibly a map sensor? I'm not sure.

If it turns off every time, I'd wonder if your engine is flooding, but you should "feel" the engine complaining a bit. (I would think.)

Have you had someone look at the throttle body as you press the accelerator to make sure your linkage is fine? Maybe gas is going in, but the throttle plate isn't opening, letting in the air the engine needs?

I think it might be your fuel pump.

It's not the throttle cable. I can get it to turn on and idle but when I push the throttle it doesn't always respond does sometimes and others it doesn't. If I open the throttle manually the engine bay the something happens.

As far as mods LS6 intake, headers, exhaust. I haven't done anything new to it in over a year.

Changed the MAF and MAP with the ones off my SS and no change. Checked the fuel pressure at the rail and I'm getting ZERO! =/

Either bad pump or clogged filter. Do you hear the pump prime when you turn the key to accessory on?

I'm almost sure it's a bad pump I don't here it anymore when I turn the key. I changed the filter about a year ago with an ACDelco replacement.

So guess who's cutting hole in their car???????

You don't have to cut a hole in the car, drop the fuel tank and keep the body in tact.

+1. You also put a gauge on the fuel rail and confirm pressures before doing anything.

While you have everything apart, take a close look at your fuel level sensor https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ferrerid=25107
