headlights pop when shouldn't

02 TA . Headlights pop up when the parking lights are cut on or when alarm is set . Headlights arent lit though . Any ideas?

Are they grinding too?
Normally they do this to tell you that something is wrong with the headlight motor (the gear is likely shredded up).

Mine did this when one of the gears was stripped. I replaced the gear (with a brass one, not another plastic one) anf problem solved. There are good write ups on how to replace the gear if you're unsure.

If you haven't already done it before, you can try the 180 degree gear flip trick. I'm on my phone so searching is difficult, but there are write ups on that too. It's not a permanent fix but it's free, quick, and can get you by until a more permanent fix can be done.
