Default My WS6 emits noticeable gas smell

Hello,
What would cause my 02 WS6 to emit a pretty strong gas smell? The smell is fine when it's just sitting in the garage, but for example right when I get home from work it smells the garage up pretty good.
It has typical bolt ons: lid, longtubes, SLP exhaust no cats.
No codes or anything
Also I am using AC Delco iridium spark plugs gapped at how they came out of the box. It had the smell even before changing plugs
My car runs great, just curious if anyone else has this issue or if it's just me.
Thanks!

Not having cats will definitely cause strong exhaust fumes, It shouldn't smell like raw gas though if that's what you are referring to.

If you've never had a performance car without the cats then that's probably all it is. If you have and it seems excessive even over that then you may have something else going on

Could be running a bit rich, could be a small exhaust leak at the collector's or cat back.

Do you only notice it when you pull in your garage or while sitting in traffic/ stop also

Maybe something with the EVAP system? I'm running off road exhaust myself and the exhaust fumes are certainly noticeable.

No, I never smell it inside the car while driving. It's just in instances when I get home inside the garage it's pretty noticeable.

If I wanted to check if it is running rich, what's the best way to test this?

Well one things is for sure if it is rich the exhaust fumes will make your eyes burn when standing behind the running car for a 15-20 seconds. My tune isn't finalized yet and I feel it is still a little rich bust rather be a little rich than too lean. LEAN IS MEAN!

I'm assuming you have had your car tuned before?
Your tuner would be able to tell you your afr. Or hook up a wide band
