Default OK speedo problem.... i have tried all i know.

99 ls1 camaro
i have my 5th cluster in here...all 99 and up fbody camaro or ta clusters.

so hp tuners will show a slight signal often to 40mph with a helluva delay. cluster may burp up to 15 mph every now and then even if im doing 100mph

so far.

1. i have replaced the speed sesnor
2. replaced the cluster (several times)
3. tach and orher gauges work. oil pressure and fu doesnt work on some of the clusters.

any suggestions to check or try?

I would check the continuity of the wires going to the speed sensor to see if there is a connection problem (damaged wire).

Put a scope on the wires leading to the cluster and see if you are getting the 4000 pulses per mile. If you are it's the cluster or part of the main wiring like common power or ground. If not work your way down the line.

I dont have a lot of light or room. Can someone tell me where does the VSS wires come into the car? I know it has to be by the shiftier somewhere. From the PCM pins 20 and 21 are light green/black and purple/white.
From the cluster I think they are yellow and purple (not 100 percent sure here) 99 and up PCM
If I wanted to access these wires from inside the car can someone give some insight on where to look? If I pull up my console panel will I be able to access them?

Thanks in advance!
