Default AC PAG oil - how much for the whole system?

I am replacing everything except for the evaporator core, but the evaporator core was flushed. The service manual states 9oz in the compressor, 3oz in the evaporator, 1oz in the condenser, and 3.5oz in the accumulator. 16.5oz seems like a lot.

inputs?

Don't recall where I read it but I thought it was 9oz for the whole system.

Documentation that came with the compressor says 9oz. The compressor manufacturer website says 9oz, and specifically says "All oil specifications assume that A/C system has been properly cleaned, and new accumulator / filter drier has been installed. Specs are for total system capacities". The 1999 "F-Platform" Service Manual says 9oz in the compressor, 3oz in the evaporator, 1oz in the condenser, and 3.5oz in the accumulator.

Would the compressor manufacturer be more accurate than the service manual since the manual was written 19 yrs ago?

Stuck with 9oz of PAG 150. Put some PAG on both sides of each gasket. Pulled down to -22 vacuum, and my pump is hot. It has held -22 for 20 minutes. I think I am good. Just gotta let the pump cool off.
