Left headlight bucket lifts 1/2" higher than the right side.
After searching the only posts I see is about headlight motors not vertical adjustment. My left bucket raises the bottom of the black shroud hitting the bumper cover (see photos). I am afraid it is going to wreck the headlight motor. Also it is not sitting flush. How can I adjust this? Ty in advance.

The first thing to check are the headlight motor stops.
If you pop the hood, you can see them. There ate arms that connect the doors to the motors. The ends of those arms rotate with the motor and engage metal tabs/stops at the end of travel in the open and shut position.
Are your arms hitting the stops? Are the stops bent out of place?

I finally got a chance to look at it with a couple of friends today. Both stops are definitely there, could one of them get bent somehow? The bracket it's attached to looks pretty strong. If I add to or put something on top of the bumper to stop the light will I have a problem? Anybody have any suggestions?

Sure. You have to take a look and see what is happening. There are two stops. The arm will be against one when the door is open and the other when the door is closed. Take a look at them when the lights are open and closed to make sure there is solid contact and (more importantly) that the brackets are angled and in the same positions.
If your stops are correct, then one of two things must be wrong:
- The arm is bent, out of place, or loose on the motor stud.
- The arm isn't contacting the stop fully.
Depending on what is going on, you can advance to the next level of diagnosis and a fix.
