Which cable do I pull when I get it started?

I just recently purchased this car and I trailered it home. Next morning dead. Went and bought a new battery, drove to a friends for some Madden 2005 for about 2 hours. Barely would crank when I left there, when I got home I killed it then tried to start it and nothing. Where to start, any suggestions.

Could be the alternator??

Sounds like the alternator, its really easy to remove and your local parts store will probably test it for free. Also an old trick is when you crank the car disconnect the negative battery cable while its running just for a few moments, if the car dies then your alternator isn't charging. If it still runs you have a problem elsewhere, something perhaps draining your battery?

same thing happened to me when i was in miami..thought it was the alternator had it checked..was fine, turned out to be my ignition module.


So if your alt checks out, have a shop tech it(*the car not the alternator haha) and see whats up. :)
