Formula won't start

When I turn the key it doesn't click or try to fire - but the security light flashes at me. I tried both keys - no go. I've cleaned the keys, I've disconnected the battery and it still won't start. Once after turning the key for awhile it fired! Shut it down and it wouldn't re-fire. I've talked to people that said I should bypass VATS. I don't know how to do that.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be and how to fix it?
Thanks

I may have to try the resistor trick.

I also have a P1626 Anti-Theft code.
Would the resistor clear that code?

Thanks
