Clicking Headlights

Hello everyone,
Today I started up my 99 Trans Am went to the hospital and when I got there and shut off my lights, they went down and started clicking. After a few seconds they quit clicking...but, when I use my remote to lock the doors they go up, then come back down again and click all over again. I thought at first maybe something was jammed in there somewhere but I didn't notice anything in there. I have tried searching the forums here and unless I'm stupid there is nothing. Just curious if anyone knows what the problem might be?

The headlight motor gears are stripping, it will get worse.
You will have to fix them soon.
