Car doesn't start

Car started fine last night, I went out to leave for work this morning and it wouldn't start. The engine doesn't turn over, it just makes a fairly loud rapid ticking noice. The battery seems fine, all lights and electrical items work fine. I will check the ignition and starter relays, but I'm thinking this sounds like the starter, what do you guys think? :bang:

If it makes a loud ticking noise its the battery- there's not enough juice to turn the motor over, but it would be normal to still have lights if its not completely drained.

I thought this noise sounded different than the clicking a weak battery makes. My car has never had a hard time starting before this, thats why I never considered that option.

Try jumping it. Then you'll know for sure if its the battery or not. My 1st guess would be the battery. Exact same thing happened on my Durango. I was almost convinced the battery was fine because it always seemed strong. Then all of a sudden.... nothin. The lights were working fine, too by the way.
