clanging noise up in 5000 rpms and higher posting for a freind, under WOT his SS makes a clanging noise up in 5000 rpms and higher, anybody every had a problem like this before just driving him nuts.

is it from the engine does it sound like bolts loose in there clnging and pining if it is make he runs 91 octane only he is having detonation and that can kill his motor

what is that? he is talking about my car i am running premium, and i bought car used certified under warranty, with an extended one. it has done this at WOT since i bought it took into the shop and they didn't even look at, just cant figure it out and it really bugs the **** out of me. what is pre detonation
