Let's play "What's that noise?"!
So I fired up my LS1 this afternoon with an outside air temp of about 28-30 degrees. As soon as it turned over I heard what can best be described as a sandpaperish noise coming from the passanger side bank. It seems to be coming from the top end. It's like a swooshing/sanding noise. It could also sound like a bunch of ball bearings rolling around quickly in a pan or something. It changes with engine RPM. I didn't let it warm up I shut it down after about a minute.
Does anyone have any clue as to what this could be?

Now i think it might actually be a pulley. The sounds goes away when I get warmed up or drive a bit. I also stuck my head way in there and the sound is coming from the FRONT of the engine, not the block itself or the back like I initially thought... We'll see how the problem continues, I'll keep you all informed.
