Default RPMs going up?? weird

Not sure if this is the right topic to put my problem in, but it's a problem nonetheless.

Car: WS6 M6
The problem concerns my RPMs going higher with my foot off the gas pedal.

I'm exiting the freeway, push the car into neutral, my speed is going down, and my RPMs keep going higher (while in neutral with the foot off the gas pedal and going up very slight incline). This continued to occur throughout my drive through city streets. It always happened right when i threw the car into neutral.

I know this happens when downshifting, but i rarely do it.

So question: Why are my RPMs going up when in neutra and my foot off the gas pedal?

Sorry if the problem isn't stated clear, i've had a long day.

Thanks in advance

Mine does the same thing, from what I have heard it's not a problem. I was told that the when you take the load of the engine like that immediatetly (when its been at mid/higher rpm's) it will search for an idle. Dont know if that is true or not but I wouldnt worry about it, everyone I have talked to says its normal.

i had to clean out my throttle body it seemed to work for me fine but all manuals do rev a little when you put it in neutral right away but most of mine went away after i cleaned it
