Default How often do you guys change plugs?

I'm curious as to how often most people on here change their plugs?

I get a bit of flack on Corvette Forum when I tell people that I change my NGK TR55s every 6 months (which is about 8-10k). They think it's too often, but I don't think copper plugs should be left in for too much more than that.

So how often do you guys do it? And what plugs do you run?

Anywhere from 6 to 12,000 miles. Try to do it before 10,000 though.

Those guys who think the stock plugs can go 100k are fooling yourselves. I pulled my original plugs out at 32k and they were shot! The platinum pucks were completely missing, the gaps had opened up to .070 and higher, and I was getting 7 degrees of knock retard!

it takes less than an hour to change plugs and tr55's cost like $13 bucks for all 8. theres no excuse to leave them in for a long time
