rear end clicking hi for some reason about 3weeks ago my rearend started making a clicking noise in or out of gear while taking a left or a right hand turn. It sometimes does it when im coming to a stop not on the brakes but if i just take it out of gear and let it roll had fluid changed still doing it just lookin for some help thanks
my car was making a very similar clicking noise when coming up to a stop with the clutch pressed or in nuetral (no load on rear) and a couple weeks later it started making tons of noise it turns out i broke a tooth off the pinion and the next three teeth in a row were cracked and ready to go, when i had the ring and pinion replaced
i guess 300 at the wheels is plenty enough to break a stock pinion with street tires (never had wheel hop problems either) bfg's kdw's by the way
