Default Voltage dropping at WOT.

What would cause my voltage to drop only at wide open throttle? My lights will dim only at wot if I'm driving the car at night. Thanks, Brian

can you give us an estimate of how much the voltage is dropping?

I have an ASP underdrive crank pulley. The voltage drops to about 11.4 volts almost as soon as I get on it, then comes back as soon as I let off of it. I have a solid tensioner that is very tight. I think the alternator may be slipping because I saw a little bit of rubber dust on the front of the housing. I don't know why it would slip because it's a brand new Dayco belt and the tensioner is set very tight. Thanks for the help, Brian

pullies really hurt your accessorys maybe you could look into getting a voltage boost i know SLP has one but i'm sure you could find a better and cheaper one out there.

could be your charging system. when the cars on is it between 11-14 volts?

Anytime the car is on it is 13.5-13.6ish except for when I floor it, then it drops to about 11.4 volts.

yeah i vote the underdrive pully. I dont think you have anything to worry about though. Its not like you car cant function properly at 11.4 anyways, or at least for the 10seconds that you might have WOT.
