I ran out of gas 3 weeks ago in my 1998 trans am, n I have replaced the fuel pump and it still is not starting, and is only getting 12 psi of fuel?????what the ****>>>>>>>>>has anyone had any trouble with the fuel systems, and can someone take me thru step by step procedure of replacing the fuel pump???? And I have already replaced the fuel filter and that was not the trouble still no go, I unhooked the battery as well when I did the job!!!!! can anything in the pump be faulty or is it some sort of electrical connection I should be looking at!!!!! what would make the a brand new pump only disburse 12 psi???????PLEASE HELP THANKS IN ADVANCE......

Did you get a good seal when you installed it inside the tank?
Might be leaking past back into the tank.

Fuel Filter could be clogged too sucking in all the crap when you ran it out of gas.

make sure you get the GM pump. have heard bad stories on cheap aftermarket pumps taken a s%@t on people
