need help clutch feels like it isn't there...

The other night i was playing around with the car and tried to launch it for the first time on dr's... I brought it up to about 3000 and let the slip out slowly, then it took off and planted me in the seat... i thought it was a good launch for the first time trying... but as soon as i went to stop i noticed the clutch was still in about half way.... i then pumped it a lot and it came back up to the top.... for the next day it smelled like it was burning when i stopped, but now the smell is gone, but when i shift gears it feels super soft, almost like i don't have a clutch.... It doesn't grind into gears, or slip when i get on it... just feels really soft.... so someone help me out with my problems, because i hate a date with a cobra next weeked!!! :bang:
