water pump or lose main bearing in alterantor? ok my car is making a whislting noise by my belt ok i thought it was my belt?but i had a guy look at it and he says well humm it could be the water pump b/c on the water pump i have some black crap on teh side of it or he said it could be a lose bearing in ur alternator! He brought out a lage metal rod and put it right below my alternator and i listened and it made a click click noise that it not sousspose to be there! so any of u guys know what it might be i kind of want it to get fixed today asap! b/c this noise is driving me crazy! but the noise happens when it ildes( he also thouhgt it could be a idle tune messed up) and when i get on teh gas a lil bit it makes that same noise!
