It means one of your gauges is where its not supposed to be. Like it will come one when your gas gauges get into red, your voltage is to low (or high) etc. So when you see it make a sweep of your gauges, and make sure nothing is in red.

If all of your gauges reads correctly which is possible. Then its quit possible that you have a bad ground wire, plug or wire. Mine flickerd under heavy load and turned out to be a bad spark plug that was acring to some wires. Couldnt see the arc but heard it. Just an option.

Yes, when I bought my car the gas was low and that light was on. Only time I've ever seen it.

Mine does this every once in awhile and I've checked everything, no arcs, plugs are fine, no ground issues.

Mine did it at high rpm's. Turned out that the engine-chassis ground wire was touching a wire bundle and the top of the alternator. I just unbolted it, ran it another way and replaced the bolt. I ran it such that it was not under a lot of tension and not laying on the alternator case. Problem solved.

Awesome, that's probably my issue.
