What temp were you at when your coolant light came on? .. and which light are you talking about? There is a "low coolant level" light... you could just be a little low. what level is the coolant in your overflow tank? ..cause 210 is warmer than most people like to run but it's not unheard of to be at that temp sitting at a stop light in say.. florida.

i just turned the car on and the light came on..the car was cool from being parked over night..so it was at 160...yeah i believe it was the low coolant light..the one with a box and at the top an arrow pointing down to a wavey kinda pic..
yeah i know its not unheard of, but for my car to do that it is, usually it sits around the 185 when its hot..my coolant level says full cold...so i dont know

This is also a cool trick.. but who wants to remove their water pump to do it?

Your coolant light coming on doesn't mean that its low enough to cause you to run that much hotter than normal. You have to be way low on coolant to see a difference, not just from the light coming on. Maybe something else is wrong. Make sure your cap is good, you could be losing coolant under pressure through it.

It's pretty easy to tell if you're actually low on coolant.....

Is the radiator full? Is the dipstick on the overflow bottle reading full?
