Hatch doesn't always open first time i hit the button?
 
Well when i first get into my car and i hit the hatch button it pops it but when i get out to try to open it it wont open all the way. So i hit the button again and then finally it will open. This is like everytime so what can i do is there something wrond with a vacuum line or something? :confused:
please help me.

Just go down to your local hardware store and buy a C-141 spring. It's 5/8" X 1-1/2". Pull back the lining around the latch and piggy-back this spring onto the factory one. You will probably have to tweak the hook on the spring a little to get it on there. Fixed!

edit: This works on an '02 Camaro. I think the 'bird is the same.

Your choice is either (like Dimitri said) two quick pushes of the button vs. a hatch that has a recoil a shotgun would be proud of.

I opted for the extra pushes because I figured if the latch ever gave way due to the extra pressure of the spring (over time), the cost would be more than the benefit.

The stronger spring fixed mine. It was aggravating for sure.
