traction light at 100mph ?

so i was on the highway on the way home. I was racing a 00z28. thats besides the point. I did a pull in 3rd gear from about 3 grand all the way up to 6k. btw is that bad becasue it was in the soft redline thing. after i get to 6k and let off the low trac light come on? any reason for this. there is nooooo way i could have broken the tires loose at that speed going in 2 4th is there.

If you revved it to redline and sidestepped the clutch on some shitty tires I bet you could do it.

well i do have shitty tires it was kinda wet. Idk maybe it just did not seem at the time like it was possibal. The first thing i thought of was ok somthing is deff wrong there is no way

My traction light on the camaro would come on like a few times a day depending on road conditions and usually when I turned drove me crazy.

You probably have a very slight difference in tire diameter from front to rear, like the rear tires are nearly bald and the fronts are still okay. The comulative wheel speed difference at that speed from front to rear may be enough so that the EBCM sees what it believs to be tire spin.

I believe that it takes a physical difference of 11 MPH to trigger the traction control. However, you can have more timing problems at those higher speeds. The computer has trouble with detecting the raising and falling parts of the signal at those speeds when there is a large diameter difference.

interesting well need less to say is scared me lol btw is it ok to run the car up to 6k now and then i have always shifted at 5500

umm...why were you racing on shitty tires when it was wet outside? that's just stupid.

i can break the tires loose in 3rd gear going 35 mph if i rev it real quick to ~3 grand with the traction control on if the road is wet enough. what chance do you think you have a 6,000 rpm's?
