Default Dash Replacement

So because I have yet to put subframe connectors in my car, which I will be doing within the next few weeks, my dashboard has severe cracks on the drivers side. I found the part on GMpartsdirect.com and it's around $110. Is this something I can replace myself? I've looked and have been unable to find anyone else who's done this themselves.

Also, are G2 subframe connectors (weld in) for $204 (pair) a good deal?

It's not hard if you're referring to the dash pad. You first have to pry the plastic trim going from the top of the door to the windshield. It's held on with clips, so you just pull down and they should pop out - take your time or it could crack. You then work your fingers under the dash pad and pull up - it's held with clips that will pop loose. You'll want to unplug the electrics (running daylight sensor and led light) before removing completely. If you do a search, there are more detailed directions that this.

It's so easy to do. Just follow the directions above. The dash pad is held down with a combination of clips and velco. Just get your fingers under it and work it up. Then just pop the new one in. One word of caution, wear gloves when you pull it up. The edges are unfinished and very sharp, I cut myself pretty good. The A-pillar trim just clips into a rail, sit in the car and pull it twards you starting at the rear of the trim.
