Blinker problem, I'm stumped *I did use the search feature but didn't help my problem* Here is the situation, my driver side blinker does not come on when the DRL's are supposed to be on, the passanger side is fine. Also, when I turn my blinker to the left the light would stay green but the bulb would not turn on. I checked for water or anything that might affect the wires. I replaced the bulb, that didn't help, the light would still stay green on the inside and the bulb would not turn on. I checked my fuses, all are good. Grounds are good as well. I replaced the flasher underneath the steering column, that fixed my green light problem, it's blinking now but the bulb still won't come on. The bulb turns on when I turn my headlights on, but won't come on when I turn the hazards on. Rear turn signals are fine as well. I don't know what else to look for, any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

check the other bulbs to see if they are burnt out, some are dual filament. also you can try to pull the bulb out and rotate it 180 degrees. |
Check the bulb sockets on the driving lights, mine was doing the same thing |
Yes, it would be a good idea to check to socket. http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthrea...&threadid=15143 ^^Good write up on checking for corrosion and probably replacing the socket. Socket part number is 12159662. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm |
that 1st link doesnt work |
get a multi meter or in this case a plain old test ligh will do and probe the wires at the socket..... |
Definitely the bulb socket... mine did the same thing a few weeks back. I didn't replace the socket, but what I did was take a flathead and scrape out the rust and stuff out of the socket. Then get some electrical grease and lube it up and put the bulb in (sorry that sounds kinda :supergay: ) Once you get the bulb in you might wanna jiggle it around a few times. Once I did this my bulb has worked perfectly. |
