I am not sure what it is...but at a certain RPM, I get the annoyong rattle comeing the back of my car. I check around my exhaust pipe removed my heat shields to see if it was it...well it made a huge difference, but I still get a subtle ratting and I have no idea what it is...I check the spare tire, jack and everything I could physically see. Anybody have this happen or know what it is? It makes me want to sell it.

most of the time its interior panels. most f body do this i know mine does.
it also could be exhaust resonosance thats ratleing the inside of the car.
my car never rateled them the tips on my aftermarket exhaust looked like crap so i cut them off for now and now the car ratles like crazy

Check the spare tire area. My jack was loose once and was REALLLLY annoying!

Rattles about 1800 rpm? My borla did that before I installed my LT's.. Now the exh just drowns out the sound..

IT was rattling where the I pipe went over the axle.

Yeah I checked the spare tire and everything was tight, but I went ahead and pulled the jack out just to make sure that it wasn't that. It wasn't. I got under it and was looking at my exhaust to see if the pipe that goes over the axle was causing it, well it was really close, almost touching the heat shield...so I removed the heat shield. The big heat sheild by the gas tank and the smaller one that goes around the exhaust pipe over the axle, were really loose. I removed both and it doesn't rattle as much...but I still get a suble rattle that almost sounds like metal on metal. I did just swap the muffler about a month ago...I have no clue, it's just annoying as hell.
