rpm's drop slooowww! on 02 WS6
when I push in the clutch to shift the rpms don't drop unless I wait about 5 seconds, but the clutch is not doing anything else wierd like slipping under acceleration. It feels good besides this. Any suggestions?

the air filter is clean. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it, Ive had it happen when it was cold, hot, high rpms, low rpms, and it will only do it once or twice then nothing for a week or so. Actually kinda helps on fast shifts

Same thing here. It seems to be worse when the engine is cold. When I really notice it however is after I have been driving at a sustained speed for a while. When I get off of the freeway it seems to take a while for the RPM's to drop down again. My car has a naw cam, heads, intake, headers, FIPK and the AIR and EGR removed. Does this sound like a tuning issue as well?

Typically this is caused by either an Idle air controller that is too low, meaning the throttle blades are open a bit too far or if you drilled the throttle body. Also a vacuum leak can do it. Also a TPS voltage a bit too high (.67 to .7 at idle works good) can do it as well. Also, there is an idle air decay table in the PCM that can be increased to try to get it to return to idle faster, but if there are the other mechanical issues mentioned above, the IAC decay won't help.
