Default Car overheating big time, need help!

I had a very slight coolant leak, so I replaced the gaskets and got the car all back together. It didn't overheat before, it just had a slight leak. I put one jug of dex in, then started the car, then proceeded to put more water in. It only took another half jug of water. The coolant dipstick says its full, but the temp gauge goes into the red and keeps going

I've had the water pump off a few months ago during my cam swap, and no problems overheating since. Whats funny now, is that the heater and defroster don't blow hot air... WTF is going on here? Gotta be something simple. Could I have broken the pump putting it back on? It doesn't seem like there is any coolant flow into the engine, the radiator lines don't get hot.

Please help!

...there is a small hose that goes from the throttle body to a small metal pipe on the right side under the intake. Remove that hose and put a paper towel under the pipe. Fill the system through the radiator until fluid comes out of that hose and then put the hose back on.

That did the trick, thanks guys! I can't believe it was that simple. Just a little air caused the entire cooling system to fail...
