Backfire?

My car seems to be backfiring often. (I'm not running any nitrous) Whenever i go WOT or give the car some extra gas whenever i let off i can hear slight backfires. When i go WOT i can hear a loud backfire when the car changes gear, also. (A4) the 2-3 shift. Any heads-up on why this could be happening?

Thanks guys.

Whens the last time you changed your spark plugs and wires. Is your check engine light on???? Any exhaust work done????? Vacuum leak??? List any mods you have. It can be a number of things...........

sounds like you have a bad plug or a bad o2 sensor

I was having backfiring problems recently. I changed my plugs and my fuel filter and seafoamed the fuel tank. Now I have no backfiring at all.

just bolt-ons, i'm going to be changing the plugs. I also think it could be my O2's or the wires anyway. I only have them cut rigged and wrapped in electical tape, i'm getting o2 extensions.

Check your coil connections and plug connections, I had the same problem.
