Default broke spark plug in motor...need advice

i bought a motor... it has some bosh +4 bullshit in it.. i was putting the long tubes on it so i took the plugs out (was changing them anyways) and one of the plugs is completly stripped of the electode and the 4 tabs.... i am going to compression test it by hand tomorow, if it checks out ok is there any methods i can use before i go tearing the whole motor down? any help would be awsome, thanks guys

HI: Nice looking ride. See if you can turn the engine over freely a couple of tiimes with a socket and breaker bar on the pully. see If it turns freely, if it gets tight stop and dont't turn it over anymore. You couldtry a small probe in the spark plug hole if it only goes down a few inches the piston is probably intact. If the probe goes all the way into the oil pan then you know the piston is bad. Same thing happened to me a psiton let goe and the electrode got smashed. The rod jammed into the cylinder wall and the engine wouldn't turn freely. Post up a picture of the bad plug maybe some one can tell if it has engine damage. Good Luck

i just went in the garage and with a dipstick in the hole on the piston, i turned the crank by hand and it pushed the dipstick out and back in with minimal effort... now on to the compression test tomorow..

I guess do a compression test. it almost looks melted to me also. Just turn that motor over nice and slow a few more times first to be sure. I broke a plug off in side a ford contour once that sucked. I vacuumed out the cylinder and turned it over very very slow to be sure i had it all.
